U.S. Men's Basketball Advances To Gold Medal Game

The U.S. Men's Basketball advanced to the Gold Medal game by defeating Argentina on Friday by a score of 109-83. They'll take on Spain on Sunday for Olympic Gold and that deciding game will be a rematch of the Beijing gold medal game that the U.S. won for gold four years ago.

Kevin Durant scored 19 points to lead the way for the Americans, and LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony each added 18 apiece. The San Antonio Spurs' Manu Ginobili scored 18 points for the Argentines, who now needs to beat Russia on Sunday in the bronze-medal game to secure a place on the podium for the third straight Olympics.

The game was a bit closer than the score would indicate, as Argentina hung with the Americans well into the second half. However, the trio of Durant, James, and Anthony proved too potent, and the U.S. ran away with it to close out the game.
