A pair of former winners are making a charge at Kiawah Island on Friday as most of the leaders are still waiting to start their second round of the PGA Championship.
Two-time PGA champ Vijay Singh and 2005 champ Phil Mickelson are having nice rounds at the Ocean Course on Friday, with Vijay firing a 3-under 69 to move two back of the leader at 4-under for the week. Mickelson is 2-under on his round, currently playing the 16th hole.
Conditions in the afternoon are expected to be tougher, so these guys might be positioned even better by day's end.
Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy are both looking for another solid round, each just getting their day started. As is leader Carl Petterson, who is hoping to hang on to the lead heading into Saturday.
