The Team USA official roster has been announced, and the state of Arizona will be well represented in the 2102 London Summer Olympics. Former ASU Sun Devil James Harden was named to the squad, and he'll be joined by former UA Wildcat Andre Iguodala.
The additional members of Team USA from around the league are: Carmelo Anthony, Kobe Bryant, Tyson Chandler, Kevin Durant, Blake Griffin, LeBron James, Kevin Love, Chris Paul, Russell Westbrook and Deron Williams. Anthony Davis, Eric Gordon and Rudy Gay were in contention but did not make the team. The complete roster announcement is available here.
The team will head to London to defend the gold medal won in the 2008 games in Bejing in what is likely be the last time a Dream Team of NBA stars heads to the Olympics, as going forward the NBA is expected to pursue a world cup of basketball.
