Sunday's running of the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway was definitely a tense affair. Tensions were running high for much of the race, including Tony Stewart complaining of drivers purposefully blocking his lane. Stewart finished in 10th place and threatened reprisal is this perceived trend keeps up throughout the remainder of the 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.
The big winner on Sunday was Jimmie Johnson, who captured the checkered flag for the fourth time in the Brickyard 400. Johnson now sits in fourth place in the overall Sprint Cup points standings. Dale Earnhardt, Jr. finished in fourth place on Sunday and will become the new points leader. Previous leader Matt Kenseth wrecked out and finished in 35th place.
