UFC 148 Odds: Anderson Silva Favored Over Chael Sonnen

The main card for UFC 148 features six bouts, with the main event being a five round rematch for the UFC middleweight championship. Champion Anderson Silva will be taking on Sherdog's number two ranked middleweight in the world, Chael Sonnen. Silva hasn't lost an MMA fight since January 20, 2006, and it looks like the Las Vegas odds makers feel that he is going to win again. Even though Sonnen was beating Silva for four and a half rounds the last time these two met, he is still the underdog in this bout.

The rubber match between Tito Ortiz and Forrest Griffin favors Griffin by a large margin. Ortiz won their first bout back in 2006, but has gone 1-6-1 in his last eight fights. Griffin is 2-3 since winning the UFC light heavyweight Championship in 2008. Both previous matches between these two fighters ended in a split decision.

The French-Canadian, Patrick Cote, has won his last four fights, and is favored over Cung Le in his UFC return. Le most recently lost to Wanderlei Silva in 2011, his only bout in the UFC up to now.

Dong Hyun Kim, who has only one loss on his record, is favored over Demian Maia. The last seven fights for Maia have ended in a decision, where he has gone 4-3.

Chad Mendes suffered his first career loss earlier this year when he fought Jose Aldo for the UFC Featherweight Championship, but he is heavily favored over Cody McKenzie. McKenzie won ‘The Ultimate Fighter 12' in 2010, but has gone 1-2 since then.

It looks like a toss-up in the fight between Ivan Menjivar and Mike Easton. Menjivar has won his last three fights, while Easton is on a seven fight win streak. The odds are the same for these two fighters.
