London 2012 Olympics: Team USA Loses Gold Medal Match In Men's Archery Team By Single Point

Team USA will take home the Silver Medal from the Men's Archery Team event, losing the Gold Medal match to Italy by a single point, 219-218. The US had managed come-from-behind victories against Japan and Korea, but after trailing for the first half of the match vs. Italy they were unable to pull off the victory.

Brady Ellison was Arizona's representative in the match and fired the final arrow for Team USA. He picked up a nine, leaving the team in position to win the Gold if Italy hit anything less than a perfect 10. Unfortunately for Ellison, Mauro Nespoli did just that and Team USA had to settle for Silver. Ellison will have another chance at a Gold Medal starting on July 30th. He's ranked 10th heading in to the Men's Individual event after a ranking round.
