Phil Mickelson may have missed the cut to continue his woeful performance in majors over the course of the year, but there are still plenty of reasons to stay tuned and root through the final two rounds of the 2012 British Open. For starters, the U.S. has a very real chance to win the whole thing, as Brandt Snedeker is atop the leaderboard at the beginning of round three and Tiger Woods is only a few strokes off the pace.
