The UFC flyweight division gets it's first headlining fight when UFC on FX 3 heads to Bank Atlantic Center in Sunrise, Florida on June 8, 2012 with a main event featuring the 125-pound semi-final rematch between Ian McCall (11-2-1) and Demetrious Johnson (14-2-1). Both "Uncle Creepy" and "Mighty Mouse" met once before at UFC on FX 2, though the decision became shrouded in controversy after a scoring error led to the abandonment of a pivotal fourth round, and the result was instead determined as a draw. The winner of Friday's rematch will go on to face Joseph Benavidez (16-2) for the right to be crowned the inaugural UFC flyweight champion.
Also featured on the FX main card are a pair of blistering welterweight tilts -- Erick Silva (13-2, 1 NC) vs. Charlie Brenneman (15-3) and Mike Pyle (22-8-1) vs. Josh Neer (30-10-1) -- and a bantamweight match pitting former WEC champion Eddie Wineland (18-8-1) against perennial contender Scott Jorgensen (13-5). Additionally, the eight-bout undercard will be broadcast live on FUEL TV and Facebook.
