Olympic Swimming Trials 2012: Ryan Lochte, Brendan Hansen Headline Tuesday's Action

The 2012 Olympics are just a few weeks away, and we've had some great swimming action in Omaha this week at the trials. There were quite a few big story lines to watch for, but none were bigger than the showdown between Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte.

Phelps and Lochte met in the 200m freestyle and went down to a photo-finish. Lochte finished in 1:45.25, while Phelps clocked in at 1:45.27. It was a thrilling race and is only a sign of things to come for Team USA swimming.

Brendan Hansen qualified for his third Olympics team by winning the men's 100 meter breaststroke.

Dana Vollmer was great once again in the women's 100m butterfly, winning in just 56.50. She has now clinched herself a spot in London. Allison Schmitt also earned a place on Team USA after winning the 400m freestyle in 4:02.84.

The swimming trials will continue on Wednesday afternoon.
