The Arizona Wildcats won in blowout fashion over the Missouri Tigers on Friday night, and now they look to continue their winning ways against the Louisville Cardinals. In what was a great first game of the Tucson regional, Louisville defeated the New Mexico State Aggies by a score of 3-2 with strong pitching and timely hitting.
Here is the schedule for Saturday at Hi Corbett Field:
Game 3: New Mexico St. vs. Missouri, 4 p.m.
Game 4: Arizona vs. Louisville, 8 p.m.
The start of the UA-UL game could be delayed a bit should the early game go longer than expected. The loser of game three is eliminated from the 2012 College World Series.
The winner of game three will face the loser of Arizona vs. Louisville. The winner of that game, game five, will then face the winner of Arizona vs. Louisville. The team that loses game five is eliminated from the tournament.
The final team standing without two losses wins the regional. Game six is scheduled for Sunday. There is a game seven potentially set for Monday should it be needed to determine a winner.
