U.S. Open 2012 Scores And Results: Phil Mickelson, Jesse Mueller Are Only Sun Devils Left Playing

At the start of this year's U.S. Open, there were five Arizona State Sun Devils (past and one headed to ASU in the fall) playing. As the final round begins on Sunday, only two are left. Well-known Phil Mickelson is still playing as is little-known Jesse Mueller.

At the start of the week, Mickelson and Mueller were joined by Chez Reavie, Paul Casey and amateur Alberto Sanchez, who is enrolling at ASU this fall.

Casey bowed out before the Open started with a shoulder injury. Reavie and Sanchez missed the cut after two rounds.

Mickelson enters the final round of play nine shots off the lead tied in 42nd place at +8.

Mueller, featured earlier this week, is playing in his first U.S. Open and is tied for 66th. He is +12 for the tournament and 13 off the lead.

Reavie shot an even par second round, but with a 10-over on Thursday, he finished +10. Sanchez missed the cut with a +9.
