The Arizona Diamondbacks start the month of June on the road at Petco Park for a three game series against the San Diego Padres. Arizona lost or tied every single series against NL West division opponents during the month of May and have a chance to reverse this trend and start the month of June on a positive note. The last time these two teams met, the Padres won two of three games at home against the D-Backs in early April.

Arizona will be without outfielder Jason Kubel for Friday's game — Kubel witnessed the birth of his daughter on Wednesday night and is on the paternity list. Outfielder AJ Pollock is temporarily replacing Kubel on the roster until he is allowed to return and play on Saturday.

Here are the probable starters for the series along with game times:

Friday, June 1st 10:05 pm ET -- Wade Miley (6-1, 2.41) vs. Clayton Richard (2-6, 4.76)

Saturday, June 2nd 7:15 pm ET -- Daniel Hudson (1-1, 5.48) vs. Edinson Volquez (2-5, 3.46)

Sunday, June 3rd 6:35 pm ET -- Trevor Cahill (2-5, 3.96) vs. Jeff Suppan (2-3, 5.28)
