2012 Kentucky Derby Odds: Bodemeister, Union Rags The Favorites To Win

The Kentucky Derby is always one of the best events of the spring, welcoming in beautiful weather, a historic event and onlookers from all over the world. The odds for the 2012 Derby have been released, with two horses tied as the favorites as of Wednesday.

One of these horses is Bodemeister, whose trainer, Bob Baffert, was born and raised out here in Nogales, Arizona. The other favorite is Union Rags. Both of these horses were given odds of 9/2 to win the race.

There are two other horses with ties to the state of Arizona in the 2012 Kentucky Derby. 'Daddy Nose Best' (15/1 odds) is ridden by jockey Garrett Gomez, who was born in Tucson. The horse named 'Liaison' (40/1 odds) is also owned by Baffert.
