Preakness Odds 2012: I'll Have Another Goes For Triple Crown, But Isn't The Favorite

I'll Have Another chased down Bodemeister in the home stretch two weeks ago to win the 2012 Kentucky Derby and be the only horse capable of potentially winning the Triple Crown this year. The second leg of the Triple Crown, the Preakness Stakes, takes place on Saturday. While I'll Have Another was not seen as a favorite to win the Preakness, he is benefiting greatly from a number of horses that were scratched or withdrawn from the race, including Dullahan and Union Rags.

The odds-on favorite remains Bodemeister, who will be looking to redeem an embarrassing loss in the Derby where he was the heavy betting favorite. Still, all eyes will be on I'll Have Another as he pursues one of the rarest and most elusive championships in all of sports.

Here are the early odds for the Preakness, courtesy of Doc's Sports:

Post Position - Horse - Morning Line
1 - Tiger Walk - 30/1
2 - Teeth of the Dog - 15/1
3 - Pretension - 30/1
4 - Zetterholm - 20/1
5 - Went The Day Well- 6/1
6 - Creative Cause - 6/1
7 - Bodemeister - 8/5
8 - Daddy Nose Best - 12/1
9 - I'll Have Another- 5/2
10 - Optimizer - 30/1
11 - Cozzetti - 30/1
