Preakness Stakes Odds 2012: Bodemeister Is Saturday's Favorite

Bodemeister is the 8-5 favorite in this Saturday's Preakness according to the latest odds. Trained by Arizona-native Bob Baffert, Bodemeister currently carries better odds than the Kentucky Derby winner I'll Have Another who has 5-2 odds. Two other Baffert-trained horses, Liaison and Paytner ended up pulling out of the race this week.

Bodemeister is named after Baffert's son Bode Baffert. Mike Smith will be Bodemeister's jockey and he will look to come out on top in this race after falling short of winning the Kentucky Derby in early May. It is not often that the winner of the Kentucky Derby is not the outright favorite going into the Preakness, but Bodemeister's strong track record along with its second place finish at the Kentucky Derby are helping the colt's odds.
