Phil Mickelson managed to miss the cut on Friday following the second round of play in the 2012 Players Championship on Friday. Lefty had a much easier time avoiding the even-par cutoff line than did Tiger Woods, who skirted right up to the brink before settling down over the last four holes, to also finish at 2-under after two rounds.
On Saturday, the third round will commence at TPC Sawgrass in Florida. Zach Johnson, Matt Kuchar and Kevin Na will enter the day tied atop the leaderboad at 8-under, followed by Harris English at 7-under and a group of five golfers knotted up at 6-under.
