The opening round of the 2012 Masters took place on Thursday in Augusta with no shortage of thrilling action. The tournament is already living up to its billing as the most heated and competitive annual event on the PGA Tour.
Henrik Stenson flamed out in spectacular fashion after sitting atop the leaderboard through 17 holes. On the final hole of his opening round, he shot an eight, which was a record high for the 18th hole at Augusta. Tiger Woods also bogeyed on the 17th and 18th holes and fell to even for the day after sitting at 2-under for much of his round.
Phil Mickelson, Jim Furyk, Rory Sabbatini, Paul Casey and Tim Clark are the golfers with Arizona ties who are still in the thick of things. They'll be back in action on Friday.
