2012 NFL Mock Draft: Denver Broncos Boost Interior Line With Dontari Poe

With the 25th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Denver Broncos select Dontari Poe, DT, Memphis

Okay, this will never happen in a million, gazillion years in the actual draft but the Broncos just got the steal of the draft at their biggest position of need. I don't know if the other writers are just under the impression he's simply a combine wonder but he has the college production to back it up with 14.5 tackles for loss, three sacks and 77 tackles his last two years. Sure, he's probably better suited for a 3-4 NT position but if you can occupy blockers, you can find a job in any scheme.

The Broncos already lost the highly underrated Brodrick Bunkley to the Saints but they'd be dancing in the streets if they could throw a space-eater like Poe into the mix with newly healthy DTs Ty Warren and Kevin Vickerson. But like I said, there's almost no chance this actually happens. They're much more likely to be stuck with LSU's MIchael Brockers or Michigan State's Jerel Worthy.

The Houston Texans are on the clock. Bryan Gibberman will have the pick.
