NFL Mock Draft 2012: SB Nation Arizona Mocks The Draft And The Washington Redskins Select...

With the first pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Washington Redskins select...Robert Griffin III, QB, Baylor

What the top of the 2012 NFL Draft lacks in drama and suspense, it makes up for with incredible talent and potential.

It was not too long ago that the only question surrounding this season's first pick was what color tie Andrew Luck would wear on draft day. However, Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III has built upon his Heisman Trophy winning season with an impressive lead up to the draft, and now there are a growing number of top NFL minds who think Griffin could be the superior prospect.

The Washignton Redskins certainly hope so. They made a blockbuster trade with the St. Louis Rams, giving up three first round picks in order to jump up to the second spot in order to draft Griffin.

Griffin's amazing physical talents would be a fit in most any offense. With a powerful and accurate arm up top, and 4.3 speed with his legs, Griffin has skills that put Michael Vick to shame. However, where he separates from other noted physical freaks is with his tremendous intelligence, football IQ and maturity, making him more of a No. 1A selection than a No. 2.

He joins a Redskin team coming off a brutal campaign with Rex Grossman and John Beck at the helm, so Mike Shanahan and Redskin fans everywhere have to be ecstatic about this selection.

Next up: the Minnesota Vikings are on the clock, with their pick coming from Ryan Bafaloukos
