The Kobalt Tools 400 will take place at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Sunday. This is just the third race of the 2012 Sprint Cup season but there is no shortage of storylines to watch. Perhaps the most intriguing is that Kasey Kahne has won pole position for the race. Kahne crashed early in each of the first two races this year and is looking for a high placement, as he currently sits in 31st place in the Sprint Cup standings.
Kahne managed to finish Saturday's Nationwide race in 10th place, so that will likely be a nice confidence builder heading into Sunday.Ricky Stenhouse Jr. took the checkered flag in the Nationwide Series race.
The race will begin at 12:08 p.m. PDT on Sunday, so hopefully you remembered to set your clocks forward. The telecast can be found on FOX. No rain is expected, which of course is nothing but good news.
