Football is truly a team game. But when it comes time for evaluating talent for the NFL Draft, it quickly goes from team to individual. Prime examples come from the ranks of the Arizona Wildcats and Arizona St. Sun Devils.
Both teams endured subpar seasons this year. And yet, the Sun Devils will have six representatives at the NFL Draft Combine to start on Feb. 22, while the Wildcats will send three.
Leading the way for the Sun Devils is linebacker Vontaze Burfict, who is on a lot of draft boards as a possible late first round pick. And for the Wildcats, quarterback Nick Foles entered the season as a top five quarterback prospect, so it'll be interesting to see where he lands on draft day. For now, you can watch him try to separate himself from all those not named Andrew Luck or Robert Griffin III.
Here is the list of Arizona and Arizona St. players invited to the combine:
Trevin Wade, Arizona, defensive back
Juron Criner, Arizona, wide receiver
Nick Foles, Arizona, quarterback
Omar Bolden, Arizona St., defensive back
Vontaze Burfict, Arizona St., linebacker
Garth Gerhart, Arizona St., offensive line
Jamarr Jarrett, Arizona St., defensive end
Brock Osweiler, Arizona St., quarterback
Gerell Robinson, Arizona St., wide receiver
