Super Bowl Picks Against The Spread: Tom Brady Gets No Revenge

The Super Bowl is finally here this weekend. The rematch between the New England Patriots and the New York Giants. Tom Brady and the Patriots would like nothing more than to get back at the Giants for the Super Bowl four years ago that ruined New England's chance of immortality and the first 19-0 team in history.

With the Super Bowl comes gambling, and the first and foremost is making your pick against the spread. As of right now, the Patriots are favored by three points. What is our pick?

↵

The Patriots have done what they needed to, but their road was not the hardest. They had a bye, they played Tim Tebow and (giving credit) they beat a good Baltimore Ravens team.

↵

The Giants played a top offense in the Green Bay Packers and beat them. They played the NFC's top defense in the 49ers and beat them. New England has a high-powered offense, but the Patriot defense is not good on paper.

↵

However, the final key is the health of TE Rob Gronkowski. He is the difference make in that offense. While he will play despite the high ankle sprain, no one knows how well or how many snaps. Without a healthy Gronkowski to expose mismatches down the field, New York will be able to hold of the offense of the Patriots in check just enough. New England will not be able to stop Eli Manning. Pick: Giants, +3.0
