Few defensive players in the country were as dominant as Will Sutton this past year. When healthy, Sutton seemed to always be crashing through the offensive line and giving the quarterback headaches as they ran from the 6'1, 267 lb. defensive tackle.
Many publications have released their All-America teams in recent days. On Thursday, Sutton was named to the second-team for the Walter Camp Football Foundation. For the first time in five years at Arizona State, the program has a consensus All-American. Sutton was also named to CBS Sports' and Athlon Sports' First All-America team, as well as the Pat Tillman Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year. A full list of his nominations can be found here.
Sutton will have one final chance to put his talents on display this season when the Sun Devils face Navy in the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl. It is unclear whether or not the junior lineman will return to Tempe next season, although he is supposed to make a decision shortly after the bowl game.
