For weeks, speculation has run rampant that the Arizona Diamondbacks will try and trade outfielder Justin Upton, and according to a tweet from Fox Sports' Jon Morosi, the three teams which have recently shown the most interest are the Seattle Mariners, Texas Rangers and Cleveland Indians.

If a trade does go down, one team will be getting a very talented, but expensive 25-year-old outfielder. Upton is a two-time All-Star, but is coming off a bit of a disappointing 2012 season in which he hit just .280 with 17 home runs and 67 RBI. However, with a contract which will pay him $9.75 million in 2013, $14.25 million in 2014 and $14.5 million in 2015, Upton will also be pricey for any team interested in acquiring him.

For most of this off-season the leader in the Upton sweepstakes seems has appeared to be the Rangers. Morosi's Fox Sports colleague Ken Rosenthal has reported that the Diamondbacks are looking for a shortstop in return for Upton, with Texas' Elvis Andrus at the top of their wish-list.
