The college football regular season wrapped up last week and, with the final games played, the final regular season rankings were released this week.
Arizona and Arizona State both finished the regular season 7-5, but both were just outside of the top 25 of SB Nation's Week 14 BlogPoll ranking. While neither team was able to crack the rankings, both received votes.
With a win over Arizona in the Territorial Cup, Arizona State picked up three votes in the latest ranking. That was a slight improvement over the two votes the Sun Devils received in the Week 13 rankings. Arizona State was ranked as high as No. 22 on one ballot. The Sun Devils also received one 23rd-place vote and one 25th-place vote.
Prior to their loss to ASU, the Wildcats were on nine ballots. This week they were named on just two, although they were ranked as high as No. 21. Arizona also received a 25th-place vote. Both the Wildcats and Sun Devils would have a chance to break into the final top 25 with a bowl victory.
