Kansas State Wildcats senior linebacker Arthur Brown, the 2012 Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year and leader of a strong Wildcats defense, transferred to the Kansas State program in 2010 after beginning his career with the Miami Hurricanes.

But despite his relatively short affiliation with the program, Brown is committed to Kansas State for the long term after they gave him a place to land after his initial college years in Miami didn't work out quite as planned.

"That's something that I really admire in the Miami program, they have a lot of their guys coming back, spending days with the program," Brown said. "I think that would be great for Kansas State if me and some other guys come back to the program.

When Brown, a Kansas native who recorded 91 tackles, two interceptions and scored a touchdown in 2012, was asked whether Manhattan would be "home," he was quick to respond.

"It always will be," Brown said. "I've had great experience."
