The Oregon Ducks have arrived in Tempe ahead of their Fiesta Bowl matchup with the Kansas St. Wildcats and some of the Ducks players spoke about the matchup with the similarly high-powered Wildcats.
"They're very disciplined," Oregon's freshman quarterback Marcus Mariota said. "That's one thing that stands out to me. They're a good defense. They all hustle to the ball. It's all the minor things that they're really good at."
Mariota had his eye on linebacker Arthur Brown, saying, "They like to funnel their stuff to Arthur Brown. He's one of those guys who's an All-American. He's one of those guys that really just makes a lot of plays for them."
Both Kansas St. and Oregon finished the regular season 11-1.
The Ducks speedy running back De'Anthony Thomas also praised the Wildcats, but was confident, saying, "They're a very physical team, very disciplined. Our offense is great, so we've just got to do what we do and make plays and we should get the win."
The Tostitos Fiesta Bowl is scheduled for a 6:30 p.m. MT kickoff on Jan. 3, 2013. ESPN will televise the game from University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale.
