Arizona prep star Todd Peat transfers from Nebraska

Former Corona del Sol star DT Todd Peat has left the Nebraska program and will reportedly transfer to Glendale Community College.

US PRESSWIRE

Defensive tackle Todd Peat Jr. has reportedly transferred from Nebraska and will enroll at Glendale Community College. Peat is from the valley and was a high school star at Corona del Sol high school in Tempe.

The 6'3, 305-pound defensive lineman was a four-star recruit coming out of high school in 2011 and chose Nebraska over his hometown Arizona St. Sun Devils on signing day. Peat was ranked as the sixth-best prospect in the state in 2011 and the country's 16th best prospect at his position. Peat had numerous offers from around the country, including programs in the Pac-12 and SEC.

Peat spent two years with the Nebraska Cornhuskers, redshirting in 2011 and struggling to be a factor in 2012 after undergoing back surgery in the spring. Nebraska head coach Bo Pelini confirmed to Omaha.com that Peat did not make the trip to the Capitol One Bowl and will not return to the program.
