2012 Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl picks and predictions

Experts weigh in on the bowl game between Arizona State and Navy

It's the Pac-12 versus the world in the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl on Saturday, as Arizona State plays a Navy team that doesn't have a conference to represent. The 7-5 Sun Devils take on the 8-4 Midshipmen in the 11th annual Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl, which was previously known as the Emerald Bowl.

While most of the experts respect Navy's ground attack, a majority of them have picked the Sun Devils to prevail.

NBC's College Football Talk has Arizona State handily defeating Navy, even giving a score prediction of 42-23. Writer John Tamanaha cites the balanced attack of the Sun Devils behind quarterback Taylor Kelly against a porous Navy defense as the reason for the pick.

Three of Fox Sports' four analysts agree with Tamahana, picking the Sun Devils, with Joel Beall as the lone detractor. Take these picks with a grain of salt, the four analysts are a combined 0-8 after two bowl games.

CBS Sports insists on picking the bowl games against the spread. Despite ASU being favored by 14.5 points half of their six analysts still pick the Sun Devils.

The Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl will be held at AT&T Park in San Francisco, CA on Saturday, December 29.
