Calais Campbell among best of Week 16

It has been a disappointing year for the Arizona Cardinals, who fell to just 5-10 overall with last Sunday's loss to the Chicago Bears. Despite their struggles though, it's been a strong season for defensive end Calais Campbell who was recently named one of the best players of Week 16.

Despite the Arizona Cardinals' struggles in 2012, Calais Campbell remains one of the top defensive lineman in the league. And on Tuesday he was recognized as exactly that, when he was named to "Team of Week 16" by Pro Football Focus.

The recognition came after one of Campbell's best games in 2012, in which he made eight tackles (seven solo), to go along with one sack and one tackle for loss. On the season, Campbell has 61 total tackles and 5.5 sacks, as well as eight tackles for loss, which ties him with Daryl Washington for most on the Cardinals' roster. Overall, Arizona ranks 12th in the NFL in total defense, allowing just 333 yards per game.

Yet despite the impressive play of the defense, it has still been a disappointing year overall for the Cardinals.

After a 4-0 start, Arizona has lost 10 of their last 11 games.

They will finish their season Sunday against the first place San Francisco 49ers.
