The Arizona Wildcats are perfect 8-0 on the season as the non-conference slate nears an end. UA has been ranked in the top 10 for most of the season, although a schedule lacking punch prevented the 'Cats from moving up more than a spot or two each week.
That changed over the weekend. With the No. 5 Florida Gators in town, Arizona pulled off a furious comeback late to win 65-64 in front of a capacity crowd at McKale Center. It was a statement game for the Wildcats, and one that could really pay dividend down the road.
CBS Sports released their top 25 (and one) poll on Sunday evening, and Arizona is now ranked fifth in the nation. The Duke Blue Devils are now No. 1 following Indiana's loss to Butler. The Michigan Wolverines sit at No. 2, and Syracuse and Louisville are three and four, respectively.
Only one other Pac-12 team, Oregon, is in the poll. The Ducks are ranked 17th, and they feature an impressive 9-1 record.
