The Arizona Wildcats will take on the Nevada Wolf Pack in their own backyard as the two teams travel to New Mexico's University Stadium to square off in the 2012 New Mexico Bowl.
According to OddsShark, UA is favored by 9.5 points, mostly on the laurels of their prolific offense and the fact that Nevada hasn't fared well against the spread in the last seven seasons. The teams are fairly well-matched when it comes to offense and defense. Arizona ranks 20th in the country in points per game (37.0), while Nevada ranks No. 17 (37.3). Their defenses are both among the worst in college football. The Wildcats most likely get the edge with the oddsmakers due to the fact they play in the tougher Pac-12 Conference.
Experts around the blogosphere seem to agree that Arizona should come out on top. Sports-ratings.com, for example, has the Wildcats running away with the contest and covering the spread with relative ease. The site points out that the Wildcats are playing close to home and coming off a win in their last game of the season.
