Arizona Cardinals' defensive lineman Calais Campbell wasn't able to practice on Wednesday and will continue to rest his injured leg during the bye week, according to azcentral.com.
Right now, Arizona hasn't divulged any information about the injury. The ailment's severity is also unknown. Because of that, it's also unclear how long Campbell may be out. Asked about the injury, coach Ken Whisenhunt declined to comment.
If Campbell is out for any extended period of time, it would be a huge loss for a Cardinals team fighting for a playoff spot in the competitive NFC. Campbell has played very well this season, holding the point of attack against the run and still pushing the pocket, collecting 3.5 sacks on the year.
On Tuesday, Arizona picked up defensive end Ronald Talley after placing linebacker O'Brien Schofield on injured reserve. Perhaps its a move to ensure some depth if Campbell isn't ready to play by next weekend.
