The Cardinals have struggled along the offensive line for most of the season. A lack of experience and injuries have led to numerous sacks and tackles for losses, which has really stalled the offense on Sundays. With a big NFC West matchup looming in Week 12 with the St. Louis Rams, Arizona's offensive line will be in for another tough day.
"That's kind of how their defense is," offensive tackle Nate Potter said of St. Louis' blitz-happy tendencies. "The ends are really good and they pride themselves on their pass rush. So, as a whole offense we've got to execute better and try to get the run game going a bit."
Despite the team's struggles on the line, Potter feels he is starting to make strides on a personal level. For a young tackle in the NFL, the learning curve can be steep.
"Mentally, I'm still trying to figure it out and make sure I don't make any mistakes that way, but fundamentally and all that I'm just working everyday trying to get better. I need to improve in a couple of things and that's what I've been working on."
Potter and the Cardinals are set to take on the Rams at 2:25 p.m. MT on Sunday afternoon.
