Arizona State and Arizona have both secured their bowl eligibility, but that doesn't mean there isn't plenty on the line when they meet on Friday.
The rivals will play for the Territorial Cup and in addition to pride and bragging rights, the teams will also be contending for a better bowl bid. Teams are selected for bowl games based on their conference standing and currently the Wildcats and Sun Devils are tied with 4-4 records in Pac-12 play.
Friday's game could be a shootout as both teams rank in the top third of the country in points per game. Arizona is 22nd in the country with a 37.5 points per game average while ASU is 28th averaging 36.0 points per game. The game won't lack star power either as some of the top players in the conference will be on the field. Arizona's Ka'Deem Carey has a chance to lead the nation in rushing. His 1,585 rushing yards are currently the most of any player, 21 more than Stefphon Jefferson from Nevada.
The game will also be the first Territorial Cup for both head coaches as Arizona's Rich Rodriguez and ASU's Todd Graham have never coached in the rivalry. The Wildcats have won three of the last four meetings and opened as a 3-point favorite.
