There are three NFL games to be thankful for on Thanksgiving Day, and the action gets started early with the first game featuring the Houston Texans visiting Ford Field to take on the Detroit Lions.
The 4-6 Lions and 9-1 Texans will pit their prolific offenses against one another as Houston tries to increase its lead in the AFC South. Meanwhile, the Lions will try to keep their playoff hopes alive as they attempt to escape from the cellar of the NFC North. Houston is favored bv 3.5 points according to OddsShark.
The afternoon game will feature one of the NFL's classic rivalries, between the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Redskins in a key division game. Rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III will get his first taste of Thanksgiving day football as both teams chase the New York Giants in the NFC East. Dallas goes in as 3.5-point favorites.
Finally, the night cap will showcase the New York Jets playing host to the New England Patriots in another classic battle of division foes. This contest could be a lopsided affair with the Patriots favored by seven points as their juggernaut offense figures to make things difficult for the offensively challenged Jets at Metlife Stadium.
