A record breaking weekend for Arizona Wildcats running back Ka'Deem Carey earned him Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week honors.
Carey rushed for 366 yards against the Colorado Buffaloes, passing former Washington St. Cougars running back Ruben Mayes's conference record of 357 yards set against the Oregon Ducks in 1984. Carey also caught two passes for 34 yards giving him an even 400 all-purpose yards on the afternoon, which set a school record. His five touchdowns on the day also set a school record. Arizona head coach Rich Rodriguez told reporters he thinks Carey runs "as hungry and as angry as any back in the country."
Carey leads Arizona with 1,381 rushing yards and 18 touchdowns. He's averaging 138.1 yards on the ground per game. The win was Arizona's sixth on the year, making them bowl eligible. The Wildcats will travel to Salt Lake City to face the Utah Utes this weekend, before finishing the season at home against their rival, the Arizona St. Sun Devils.
