For the second consecutive week, neither the Arizona Wildcats nor the Arizona St. Sun Devils earned a place in the Coaches' Poll. Arizona received six votes after a 56-31 thumping of the Colorado Buffaloes. Arizona State is coming off of a loss to USC, which dropped them to 5-5 on the season.
The big story in the Pac-12 is that the Oregon Ducks are the new No. 1, following Alabama's loss to Texas A&M and the Ducks' 59-17 rout of California. It is the first time Oregon has been ranked No. 1 since the 2010 season, and seemingly ends questions of whether the Ducks would be left out of the BCS National Championship Game should they end the season undefeated.
The Stanford Cardinal lead four other Pac-12 teams in the poll. Following a 27-23 win over the Oregon St. Beavers, Stanford checks in at No. 14, with the Beavers a spot behind at No. 15. The UCLA Bruins hold down the No. 17 spot after their 44-36 win over the Washington St. Cougars, while their LA brethren, the USC Trojans, sit four spots below at No. 21.
