The Arizona Wildcats struggled in the early going of their game with the No. 18 Stanford Cardinal, but the team battled back nicely in the second quarter to trail 14-13 at the half. The Wildcats will receive the ball to begin the second half.
Matt Scott has not had much time to throw in the pocket due to a battered offensive line. Scott still managed to throw for 218 yards on 41 pass attempts, completing 26 of them. No, that's not a typo: 26-for-41. Ka'Deem Carey has rushed for 28 yards on seven attempts, including a 13-yard touchdown run early in the second quarter.
As for Arizona's receivers, walk-on Johnny Jackson has made some huge catches and leads the team with 67 yards on nice receptions. Dan Bucker dropped two passes early, but has rebounded nicely with five catches for 58 yards.
Stanford QB Josh Nunes, who has taken some heat from the media in recent weeks, has completed seven of his 11 pass attempts for 101 yards and two touchdowns. Stepfan Taylor has been nearly unstoppable on the ground, carrying the ball 18 times for 79 yards.
