Arizona vs. Stanford Injury Update: Jared Tevis remains questionable

When Arizona safety Jared Tevis injured his ankle against Oregon State it looked like it may be a significant injury. Tevis is listed as questionable to play against Stanford but is reportedly in a walking boot and using crutches.

Those reports would seem to indicate that Arizona will likely be forced to play without Tevis and instead will turn to redshirt freshman Patrick Onwuasor. Onwuasor came on against Oregon State following Tevis' injury and played well, recording eight tackles.

Onwausor came to Arizona as a highly recruited wide receiver but switched over to defense at the end of spring practice. While he still lacks experience, he was able to get his feet wet against Oregon State, something that should help him going into Saturday's game.

"As the game started going on, I thought, 'This is easy,'" Onwausor said, according to the Arizona Daily Star.

Tevis is one of four players listed as questionable to play on Saturday. He is joined by defensive lineman Trace Biskin and offensive linemen Reggie Gilbert and Kyle Quinn. Defensive lineman Dominique Austin will not play against the Cardinal.
