NFL Week 9 injury report, Arizona Cardinals: Kolb remains out, Dockett questions injured teammates

Quarterback Kevin Kolb remains out of practice due to a nagging rib injury.

After having multiple ribs detached from his sternum in a Week 6 loss to the Bills, quarterback Kevin Kolb has yet to return to Cardinals practice, according to AZCardinals.com's injury report. The prognosis upon injury was "several weeks", and Arizona is in wait-and-see mode with their young play-caller. Also missing practice was Cardinals guard Adam Snyder, who missed Week 8 with an injured quadriceps.

A war of words this week in the Cardinals locker room between defensive end Darnell Dockett and tight end Todd Heap is reflected on the injury report. Without naming names, Dockett called out his injured teammates for their inability to play in Week 8 against the 49ers. One of those inactives was Todd Heap, who took exception to the comments after missing the game with a knee injury. While Dockett is listed as full-participant in practice with a hamstring injury, Heap practiced only limitedly on Wednesday and has not seen game action since Week 2.

Another inactive for Week 8 was cornerback Greg Toler, who has a hamstring injury that has also limited his practice time. His colleague in the defensive backfield, safety Kerry Rhodes, also has question marks with back issues that made him a limited-participant in practice.
