This is the final test for the Phoenix Suns before heading into the regular season and they couldn't have asked for a better test. The Denver Nuggets are a deep rotation of quality athletes which could help the team really identify their strengths and weaknesses.
The Suns are sending out the same starting line-up as they have during the first six pre-season games in which they went a hum drum 3-3. Goran Dragic will lead the way along with Jared Dudley, Michael Beasley, Luis Scola, and Marcin Gortat.
As head coach Alvin Gentry said before the game this is a "final dress rehearsal" for the team to give them an impression of what the rotation will look like once the games count.
He will be down to regular rotation players in Jermaine O'Neal (left wrist sprain) and P.J. Tucker (eye procedure) tonight. That either tightens the rotation to where Markieff Morris will see some time at the five or allows Luke Zeller and Diante Garrett, two minute rationed prospects that were kept on as insurance for the season a chance to play.
The game tips on ESPN at 7:30 p.m. local time. For the Nuggets Julyan Stone (right hip), All-Star Andre Iguodala, and Danilo Gallinari are out.
