NFL picks against the spread, Week 8: Can Bucs stuff Adrian Peterson?

Hannah Foslien

Another week of the NFL starts with Thursday Night Football. The very surprising Minnesota Vikings will host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Mall of America Field. You have two young quarterbacks in Josh Freemen and Christian Ponder who lead teams. The difference is that the Vikings have been more consistent. How do things look in Vegas with the spread?

This is the line:

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Minnesota Vikings (-7): we have seen week after week that the road team is at a heavy disadvantage in the Thursday night game.. This is where you have to like the Vikings. However, the one thing that the Vikings do is run the football with Adrian Peterson. Conversely, the best thing Tampa does is stuff the run. Yet the Vikings showed that they can win while being one-dimensional last week against the Cardinals. Even still, this will make for a very tightly contested game.

Pick: I like the Vikings to win, but tonight I am taking the points and going Bucs +7.
