2012 NFL picks against the spread: Saints, Packers to win and cover

We look at the early Sunday games against the spread.

Derick E. Hingle-US PRESSWIRE

Here is a look at the Sunday Morning NFL game against the spread with the help of Bovada.com.

Buffalo Bills -3 vs. Tennessee Titans

Tennessee has extra time to prepare for this game since they played in the Thursday night game last week. Both teams are coming off impressive wins, Buffalo winning at Arizona and the Titans taking down the Steelers at home. I'm going to take the points in this game with the Tennessee. I think Chris Johnson and Kenny Britt have big games.

Minnesota Vikings -7 vs. Arizona Cardinals

I like the Vikings to win this game, but seven points is a ton. Both teams play good defense and I believe it will be a close game. The Vikings win, but can't cover the spread.

Indianapolis Colts -2 vs. Cleveland Browns

I'm a believer in this Browns team, I actually think there pretty good and one of the better up and coming young teams in the NFL. I'm going to take the points and predict Cleveland wins its second straight game.

Houston Texans -7 vs. Baltimore Ravens

I'm surprised this line is so high. Both teams are dealing with injuries on the defensive side of the ball so this should be a high scoring, back and forth game. Another one I pick the Texans to win, but not to cover.

Green Bay Packers -6 @ St. Louis Rams

The Packers started to click last Sunday night when they demolished the Houston Texans. I don't see any reason why that doesn't continue against the Rams. Green Bay by double digits.

Dallas Cowboys -2 @ Carolina Panthers

Dallas seems like they are oh so close to putting it together. Carolina just isn't a good football team at this point despite the obvious talents of Cam Newton, who has struggled so far this year. I will give the points and take the Cowboys.

New Orleans Saints -3 @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Bucs strength as a defense is stopping the run. The Saints don't care about running, bad combination for Tampa Bay. New Orleans builds off its first win of the season and crushes the Buccaneers.
