ASU Football: Will Sutton dominating in 2012

Haven't heard of him? You haven't been watching ASU play football.

If you haven't heard Will Sutton's name, then you haven't been watching the Arizona State Sun Devils play football. With the Devils off to a 4-1 start, Sutton has been a huge part of that. In five games, the defensive lineman has picked up 35 tackles, 21 that are solo tackles and 10 that are for losses, and 5.5 sacks. He picked up Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week honors.

On plays he hasn't been making stops, he is disrupting things for other to make plays. He reminds me of another defensive lineman that wear number 90 -- Arizona Cardinals lineman Darnell Dockett. Like Dockett, Sutton is a little undersized, but he just makes plays.

No, I'm not saying they are the same player, as Sutton is two inches shorter and 20 pounds lighter than Dockett was when he was at Florida State, but the impact is similar.

ASU's defense is making plays. They are getting pressure on quarterbacks, more so than in all the years that Dennis Erickson was coaching it seems.

Head coach Todd Graham has said that Sutton is as good a defensive player he has ever coached, and he isn't even close to what he can be.

Stick around and watch these Devils. You might just see it happen.

Oh, and catch the video.
