The Senior Bowl tends to have plenty of fireworks with players looking to increase their draft stock in front of scouts from every team in the league. With the 2012 NFL Draft right around the corner, you can bet the seniors playing this year will be giving it their all on Saturday afternoon as they look to make a name for themselves with a stung performance. Here are the players to watch for from the state of Arizona.
Juron Criner - Wide Receiver - Arizona Wildcats - South Team
Criner is coming off two incredible seasons in Tucson and has reportedly seen his draft stock go up after a strong week of workouts. Blessed with size -- he clocked in at 6'3 and 215 pounds -- speed and incredible hands, many feel he will go either late in the first round or early in the second. One thing to watch for will be how well he performs against larger cornerbacks; he had a tendency to disappear at times when being guarded by a strong, more physical DB in college.
Nick Foles - Quarterback - Arizona Wildcats - South Team
Foles is currently ranked among the top-five in quarterbacks eligible for the draft, although reports have indicated he has struggled thus far in workouts at the Senior Bowl. Some have questioned his ability to perform well in an offense other than a spread-attack and all eyes will be on the 6'5 signal caller on Saturday. There is no denying that Foles can make all of the throws, but decision making and mobility are not a strong point of his.
Gerell Robinson - Wide Receiver - Arizona St. Sun Devils - North Team
Robinson had a stellar senior season with the Devils and many feel he could play his way into a middle round draft pick if he impresses in workouts and the Senior Bowl. He has the height and size (6'4, 220 pounds) to become a force at the next level, although he lacks the breakaway speed that some scouts are looking for when selecting a receiver. Still, though, Robinson possesses an excellent set of hands and has an excellent work ethic.
