Arizona Cardinals running back Beanie Wells seemed in good spirits when he tweeted that he was going under the knife and for fans to wish him luck. He wasn't specific in what exactly was going to be done but due to Wells' history and the injury suffered during the regular season, it is safe to assume that the surgery is to repair his right knee. If it isn't, that means he has more health issues than originally thought.
After the season ended, Wells wasn't sure whether or not he'd need surgery but it looks like it still came to pass. Wells first hurt his knee against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Oct. 23 and Wells was forced to play hurt the rest of the season.
Wells still finished with 1,047 yards and 10 touchdowns on 245 carries, all career highs. His previous marks were 793 yards, seven touchdowns on 176 carries, all in 2009.
