2012 Fiesta Bowl: Oklahoma State Star Justin Blackmon Limited By Infection

The Oklahoma State Cowboys are going to need all their weapons to defeat the powerful Stanford Cardinal in the 2012 Fiesta Bowl. Unfortunately, they enter the game with one of their best options limited by an infection. WR Justin Blackmon is a star who will be playing on Sundays, but in this game he's battling through the effects of an infection on his inner thigh according to a report on the ESPN TV broadcast.

According to the report, Blackmon has been taking heavy antibiotics and anti-inflammatories and was limited in practice during the week leading up to the game. He was advised to stay in bed and had his mobility reduced by the medical issues.

Blackmon has no receptions through the first quarter of play at the 2012 Fiesta Bowl after catching 113 passes for 1,336 yards this season for the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Oklahoma State kept the matter secret throughout the week leading up to the big game.

Blackmon completed a 43-yard touchdown play to put the Cowboys on the board in the second quarter.

It would seem "limited" for Justin Blackmon means two catches for 110 yards and two touchdowns. Got it.
