Anthony "Rumble" Johnson failed to make weight for his middleweight debut against Vitor Belfort. A report surfaced minutes before the weigh-ins that Johnson was nowhere near the absolute middleweight limit of 186 pounds. Johnson weighed in at 197 pounds, 11 pounds over the limit.
As of now the fight is still scheduled as Belfort agreed to the fight as long as Johnson is not over 205 pounds on fight night. Belfort weighed in at 186 pounds and got a roaring ovation from his hometown fans.
Johnson will be fined 20 percent of his purse, UFC President was visibly unhappy at the weigh-ins and called Johnson "totally unprofessional." Johnson fought his last fight in October at 170-pounds.
Both fighters in the main event made weight as UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo weighed-in at 145-pounds and challenger Chad Mendes weighed-in at 144-pounds. Aldo will have his country on his side, when Joe Rogan was interviewing Mendes the Brazilian crowd was chanting, "you will die."
