NFL Picks Against The Spread, Week 3: Cardinals Get Little Love Vs. Seahawks

Before we delved into our picks for Week 3 of the NFL season, which we will spread out over the rest of the week, let's take a look at how we did against the spread last week. We got half of our picks correct with seven correct and missed on seven and two pushes. We are currently ranked fourth in our pick 'em fantasy league (which you can still join: ID: 55411, PW: arizona).

We hit big with our lock of the week on the Green Bay Packers vs. Carolina Panthers game where we picked the Cam Newton to keep it close enough to cover the spread. We missed on the Ravens imploding in Tennessee. In retrospect, the worst pick we made was for the Jets to not cover the nine-point spread against the Jaguars.

With your confidence in us at an all time high, we move into our Week 3 picks starting with the local team. We'll follow later with the early games and then the afternoon, evening and Monday night game. Stay tuned for those which will come before Friday.

Arizona Cardinals at Seattle Seahawks (+3): From a picking perspective, this one is a no-brainer. We're not really sure why Vegas has set this line so low. The Seahawks have a horrible quarterback and an offense that's produced all of 17 total points while the defense has allowed 57 through two weeks. Yes, the home field advantage in Seattle used to be strong but with a team this bad it shouldn't matter. Perhaps the line reflects a lack of national respect for the Cardinals. Perhaps the money just doesn't like betting on Arizona due to immigration politics. We really don't know anything other than our pick. Pick: Cardinals

We also know that the Cardinals absolutely can't lose this game and the line would have to be close to nine for us to pick Seattle to cover in a loss.
